All maintenance work request for your residence hall should be placed by logging onto:

Maintenance tries to process all work orders within 48 hours.  Requests for repairs on appliances are processed during regularly scheduled days Monday-Thursday.  If an outside contractor is needed the repair time may be extended.  If a special part is required to repair the appliance, an email will be sent to the residents informing them of the turnaround time.   

               

 

Facilities staff members are available and located at 3080 Broadway in the Unterberg building room 103 Monday through Thursday 8am to 5pm to process requests for repair or assistance. Requests submitted after hours on Thursday will be processed when the office reopens on Monday.

 

 

EMERGENCY SERVICE REQUESTS

 

Requests for emergency service during non-business hour should be directed to 212-678-8888.

 

Emergency calls include:

·         No heat/hot water

·         Clogged Toilet

·         Flooding

·         Smell of gas

·         Malfunctioning smoke detectors

Important Air Conditioning Unit Guidelines

Dear Students,

For those of you who will be residing in Brush or Goldsmith, and are planning to purchase an Air Conditioner --please be aware that all Air Conditioners (portable and non-portable) must be approved and installed by The Office of Facilities Maintenance Staff.  Although we want you to keep cool, safety is of the upmost concern.   If you have installed an Air Conditioner yourself, please contact the office of Facilities Management immediately with your contact information and room number.

 If you need an AC to be installed in your apartment and have already purchased it, please fill out the attachment and email to facilities@jtsa.edu.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU SHOULD NOT REMOVE ANY AIR CONDITIONERS ON YOUR OWN. This must be done by the maintenance staff for the safety of you and your neighbors.

Laundry View Monitoring System

Laundry View Monitoring System is an interactive website that allows anyone to check the status of the machines online, twenty-four hours a day.

There are many benefits to using this system including:

** View which machines are in use and which ones are out of order at anytime. 

** Ability to view weekly and daily usage stats.

** Sign-up for alerts via text message/email when a machine in 3080, MSRH, or GSRH is  
    available. 

** Assists with troubleshooting machines faster and more efficiently. 

**Assists JTS’s “Go-Green” efforts by displaying the amount of water saved by using energy 
   efficient machines.
